Design Co-op
University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute (UCCI) is a research and training organization focused on improving correctional systems through evidence-based practices. UCCI works with agencies across the United States and internationally to provide staff training, program development, research, and rehabilitation strategies for adult and juvenile populations.
During my co-op at UCCI I worked on branding, social media, and communication materials that supported evidence-based correctional programs. I helped create clear, professional designs across multiple platforms while gaining experience balancing research-focused content with accessible visual communication. I also worked and learned a lot about ensuring accessibility in their documents and how important it is in all fields.
Social Media
I designed social media posts for the company that highlighted events, projects, and achievements while keeping the brand consistency.
Internal Marketing
I updated and migrated existing banner and cover image assets into Adobe platforms, improving their organization and making them easier to edit for more efficient future updates and design consistency. I also updated informational materials.
Indesign Content Work
I worked in Adobe InDesign to enhance document readability and improve overall layout structure, focusing on clearer hierarchy, better typography, and more effective visual organization to make materials easier to navigate and understand.
While I cannot share any of the content in the documents here is the layout and grids.
